WEEKS 29/ 30

July 26, 2017

But, do you even blog bro? I'm here to apologize about my lack of blogging lately. I want to say "omg I'm just so busy," which is very true, but on the other hand, I have also been hella nauseous, tired, and a bunch of other fun third trimester things. Why yes, third trimester, already!

Baby is the size of a: Butternut squash/ large cabbage
On Friday, I'll be 30 weeks, which is the large cabbage food comparison. I meant to get an update up on the day I crossed over into the third trimester mark. Well, we all see how successful I was at that.

Gender: B-O-Y!

Mood: On Sunday, I screamed at Joshua because he wasn't putting Penny's toys away the way I thought he should be doing. So yeah, you can say hormones have been crazy over here. Today, I feel pretty chill, but ask me in twenty minutes.

Skin: One thing that makes my mood better, how freaking amazing my skin is! I pray it's my skincare routine and not just a pregnancy thing.

Maternity Clothes: Oh man.... this is a huge deal for me. Pregnant with Penny, I never had to cross into the world of maternity jeans. I simply wore my regular jeans and a belly band up until the day I delivered. Two weeks ago, I purchased a pair of maternity jeans. I'm in love. Not only is this kiddo sitting way lower than Penny, I also think I have gained a significant amount more than I did my first time around. I do not know, I have been backward scale standing.

Sleep: Penny is officially 100% potty trained. She's been potty trained since February, but had been having accidents at night time for the last several months. Now that she gets up on her own to use the potty at night, she has been accident free! BUT, this means she wakes me up to tell me she is going and I have to get out of bed to tuck her back in. I'll take it over changing soaked sheets every morning, plus it's practice for when baby boy is here.

Symptoms: Lightening crotch has commenced. Some round ligament pain, lower back pain, Braxton Hicks contractions, painful boobs, diarrhea one day and constipation the next. Pretty much all the symptoms. Oh, and my favorite, third trimester nausea!

Pregnancy moment of the week: I registered at the hospital this week! It's all getting so real! We also got a swing and bassinet in the last week!

Feeling: In a haze. When I say: "oh I'm due October 6th," it sounds so far away. When I say "I have ten weeks left," I start to panic. That's not long at all! I know that in time I'll start to chill out a bit. We are literally so close to being done with his room, which doesn't really matter because he will be in a bassinet for the first 6 weeks of his life, but the satisfaction of it being done, outweighs logic.
