JULY EMPTIESAugust 10, 2016
I'm slacking. It's the second week of August, and these photos are snaps from my phone. It is what it is. Here's July's empties!
Equate Makeup Removing wipes - Why did I buy these?
→Would I buy it again? I think you can guess no. My days of using makeup wipes have been behind me for quite awhile. It actually took me months to use these and they are just generic, sub-par makeup wipes. My makeup remover at the moment is good old coconut oil.
Shea Moisture African Black Soap Body Wash *CF, *GF (made with GF oats)- My sister recommended this to me, as I tend to get body acne flare ups in the hot months. #noshame
→Would I buy it again? I'm torn. I actually dont know if this did anything? This seems to be a reoccuring thing with Shea Moisture. The are SUCH an ethical brand and I want to be obsessed with them, but I seem to always find myself unimpressed. I will be purchasing this again in the future, as well as the African Black soap lotion. ~ $8.99
Biore Deep Cleansing Nose Strips - We've probably all used these and I know these have popped up in an empties post here and there.
→Would I buy them again? Yes. They aren't miracle workers, but it helps to pull some crud out. ~ $8
Crest Pro- Health Jr. Disney Toothpaste - This is what I have been using for Penny, after two natural brands left her with some serious kicken bad breath. Perhaps it's an age thing, and I'd like to try something with less ingredients in the future, but for now, this is what we use and will continue to use. ~$3
Derma E Very Clear Cleanser *CF, *GF, *V - I used a bottle of this up and talked about it in May. While I still stand beside my statements that it is a good cleanser, the drying aspects started to take a toll.
→Would I buy it again? For now, no. I love that this contains tea tree oil. My skin seems to love anything with tea tree. However, this dried out my face and I think would really only be a nice twice a week cleanser for someone with oily skin, not combo. My skin is oily combo and the drying aspects were just too much for me. ~ $13
Miss Spa Sheet Masks - Still in love with these! My favorite of the bunch is the Hydrating mask. I always buy them from Target, because in store, they run buy three get one free. ~ $3
Hask Monoi Oil Nourishing Shampoo *CF, *GF - What is Monoi Oil anyway?
→Would I buy this again? My first week using this I loved it. I was a woman blinded by smells. Smells of beachy, tropical paradise. As I finished both this shampoo and conditioner, I questioned if it really made a difference in the moisture of my hair. Also, this may have worsened some of that pesky body acne I was talking about, thought I'd have to repurchase to prove that theory. I may try another kind of Hask hair care in the future. After all, I LOVE their Repair that hair spray. ~$5 - $6
Batiste - I still can't say this brand correctly, nor have I ever come into contact with people who say it the same way twice.
→Would I buy it again? Yes! This is my favorite dry shampoo, although one of my friends told me I need to try the Bare scent. ~ $8
Equate nail polish remover - This stuff is literally just a cheap polish remover. Nothing more or less. I paint my nails at least three times a week, so I just snag what's the cheapest. I'll probably buy this again. ~$1.00 or less.
by Nature New Zealand Daily Moisturizing lotion - So I stumbled upon this brand at Walmart of all places, and when scrolling through the ingredient list, I was pleasantly surprised. Aloe, hyaluronic Acid, Rosehip seed oil, plus it smells so freaking clean.
→Would I buy it again? This small sample size came in a big sample box I purchased a few months ago. I liked the sheet masks the most, but the daily moisturizing lotion definitely caught my attention. I purchased the regular size and really like the hydration I get from using as a night time moisturizer. I'll have a more in depth review once I finish the bottle I currently have. ~ $8 for regular size. ONLY SOLD IN STORES
by Nature sheet masks with manuka honey and aloe vera - I have found another brand of sheet masks I love!
→Would I buy them again? Yes! My only complaint is they dry out a little faster than the Miss Spa ones and don't seem as saturated in the product. No big deal though, as they still make my face really smooth! $8 for a box.
Arm & Hammer Peroxci Care toothpaste - I've touched briefly on the gum issues I've had since having Penny. Since, you know, having kids literally sucks the life out of you and your teeth, and this stuff really seems to help some of those issues.
→Would I buy it again? Yes. This seems to be doing a good job in the fight to get my gums back. ~ $4
Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge - Always and forever. I rarely keep these longer than a month having multiple skin sensitives. It's safer for me to just buy a new one.
Wet n' Wild Mega Liner *CF - I love Wet n' Wild products. They are literally one of the best drugstore brands there is.
→Would I buy it again? Yes, and I have. The Wet n' Wild Mega liners are fantastic and cheap. They come in several colors and have recently been reformulated to be even better. Don't pass these up. ~ $2.50
Sephora Rose Mask - Stephanie sent this over to me in a lovely surprise package. (:
→Would I buy it? No. It was a nice treat for myself and I love rose anything, but for now, I need another mask like a hole in my head. (;
Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Primer - This was a freebee back from December when Joshua purchased the Lorac Pro 2 palette for me.
→Would I buy it again? No. I swear to you this performs exactly like the Wet n Wild eyeshadow primer.
Tinkle Eyebrow Razors - I love that I can get these primed from Amazon and they are $4 a pack.
→Would I buy them again? Yes! They are awesome and so cheap!
