MAY EMPTIESJune 06, 2016
I was sick all weekend, so we're going to keep this intro really short. You know the drill. A little smaller than last month's, but still a nice mix of products I've been working on, or trying out over the last few months. Here it goes!
→Would I buy this? I'm thinking ultimately, that's a strong possibility. They make your under eyes feel ridiculously smooth and refreshed! $55
Laneige Multiberry Yogurt Mask *CF except in Asian countries where it's required by law- Leave it to Target to give you two deluxe sample sizes of two popular masks for just $5. Last month, I finished the yogurt mask by the popular brand, Laniege.
→Would I buy it again? Full size, this mask retails for $25. Not terrible, though I am not sure if this mask does anything spectacular. For the $5 price point, they are worth checking out.
Miss Spa Detox Sheet Mask - Love these, you'll see at least one of these in every empties post. ~$2
now Foods Jojoba Oil *CF, *GF, *V- I've had this small bottle for quite a few months. Penny had some yucky dry skin over the winter that just lotion a lone didn't seem to be helping. We added a small, diluted amount of this to her lotion after bath time.
→Would I buy it again? Probably. I don't have a need for it now. She may have grown out of that odd skin dryness she was having. This stuff is really nice in your hair too. ~$6
Derma E Very Clear Cleanser *CF, *GF - Love Tea tree oil? This is a thick, gel like cleanser for troubled skin. Does cause slight tightness in the skin if used too often.
→Would I buy it again? Yes, and I have it right now in my shower. However, I'm finding lately the dryness is a little too extreme for the warmer temps. This is still a wonderful product and I will probably use it once a week, but you wont see it for awhile in another empties post. ~$13
Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Water Mask *CF, *GF, *V - I've used up a thing of this before a few months ago. It's nice, but it's nothing special.
→Would I buy it again? This is my second time purchasing it, and to be honest, this stuff stings upon application. Not enough to irritate my skin, but enough to feel uncomfortable. It does give a nice, plush feel to your skin though it's temporary, so I'm moving on to other things. ~$12
Colgate Optic White toothpaste - I mentioned in last month's empties that we have been trying some new brands of toothpaste as we get older and notice our teeth and gums needing a little something extra. We had one last tube of this, and it will be the last tube you see for awhile as we search for the best fit for us. This does, however, do a pretty great job at whitening for a toothpaste, but not expect those results to be long lasting. $3.94
Walgreen's Brand Nail polish remover - Just your average polish remover. I was out, and picked this up at Walgreen's. Not the best, not the worst, would buy it again if I had to. ~$2
que Bella illuminating sheet mask - Another day another sheet mask. This one claims to give your skin brightening effects in just 20 minutes.
→Would I buy it again? No. This was so fragrant. I didn't have any reactions to it, but I have nothing good to say about it. ~$2- $4
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizer - I get samples of this stuff all the time.
→Would I buy it? No. This stuff is way too thick for my skin type. To use this up, I actually used it on my chest and arms.
Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge - I think I toss these more than necessary, but after awhile, I can't get them to clean up as nice as they should. Since they're so cheap, I don't feel awful about doing so.
→Would I buy it again? Yes. ~$6
Burt's Bees Baby Bee Nourishing Lotion *CF though owned by Clorox, which is not CF- I've used this stuff on and off with Pen since she was born. Great, afforadable product with a nice minimal ingredient list.
→Would I buy it again? For now, no. I have been trying to find a lotion we can all use. I think I have found one. This is excellent for babies though, I used this and the BabyGanics brand on Pen when she was a newborn.
Pixi Glow Tonic *CF, *GF, *V - Until recently, I'd never tried a single Pixi by Petra product. Being the Target junkie I am, it was a little strange. I picked up the deluxe sample of this for about $2 and loved the smell. To me, it smells like bananas, but my sister says I'm crazy.
→Would I buy it again? I purchased the full size of it and you'll see it in my June empties post.
Pantene Pro-V Sheer Volume Shampoo Silicone Free - Listen, sometimes, we make mistakes.
→Would I buy it again? NOPE. I hate this stuff. I took me months to get through it and I have nothing good to say about it. It made my hair feel really sticky. Which is weird, but I have no other way to describe it. I feel like Pantene is that brand you used to use in high school before you got smarter about what works and what doesn't. Guess what, this still doesn't work. $3.84
