APRIL EMPTIESMay 04, 2016
I may have failed my April no buy, but I definitely kept my use up cycle strong last month and made it through a heck of a lot of products! Keep reading to see if you'll see anything above in the future!
The Body Shop Shea Body Butter *CF - Joshua's stepmom gets these for my almost every holiday and I LOVE them!
Would I buy it again? Yes. I LOVE these! ~$21.00 totally wait for them to go on sale!
Miss Spa sheet masks - Pictured above are: Hydrate, Age Defy, and Detox sheet masks. As well as the Energize eye mask. I love every single one of these as I stated in last month's empties post. You'll be seeing a lot of these in the future! ~ $1.99 - $2.99
elf Hydrating Serum *CF, GF - So here's something I am super confused about. The bottle pictured above, very clearly says Hydrating Serum. I purchased this at Target, back in February. However, on Target.com and elfcosmetics.com there is no such product. Instead, it's the same packaging, for $6 more and called the Soothing Serum? Confused? Me too.
Would I buy it again? Here's where it gets even more confusing. I did repurchase this stuff already when I was at Target. Still, my bottle reads Hydrating Serum. ??? $6? $12?
Nuance by Salma Hayek Walnut Facial Scrub *CF - I picked this up in November I think? It was a total whim purchase. This line is only available at CVS.
Would I buy it again? It took awhile for me to finish this up. It's an exfoliating leave on gel. The product itself actually worked exactly as it said. No harsh bits scrubbing at your face. However, the smell is pretty intense. I would describe is as Pinesol. I sort of like the smell, but I think a lot of people would have an issue with it. $8.49
Lavender Essential Oil *CF, V- If you asked me about essential oils a year ago, I probably would have laughed at you. However, last summer, when we arrived in South Carolina on vacation, Penelope had some horrible rash all over her legs. It turned out to be the heat and Joshua's stepmom told me to rub some diluted lavender oil on it. I was desperate and literally a half our later, the rash was completely gone.
Would I purchase this again? Heck yes! Click the link above to learn a little more about the benefits of lavender oil!
VIIcode O2M Oxygen Eye Masks - The lovely Amanda, from Meet at the Barre sent these my way after I won a give away she was hosting. I was really impressed with my first one, as they brightened up my under eye area! I have a few more to get through before I make up my mind on them, but so far, I'm impressed!
Dr. Teal's Lavender Body Wash *CF - If you've never tried anything from Dr. Teal's I highly recommend it! I have yet to find a product I dislike!
Would I buy it again? Probably, but I prefer the Ginger and Clay scent. ~ $5- $6.
Arm & Hammer Essentials Deodorant - I still really like this stuff. See February's empties post. However, I'd love to find a CF alternative that's even more effective. Working on it! (; ~$2
Benefit's Instant Comeback Facial Serum *CF - I was lucky enough to snag this nice sample size of Benefit's instant comeback serum with an Ulta purchase a few months ago, and totally milked it sense.
Would I buy it? Sadly, I do not have the budget to justify a $46 facial serum, but if you do, get this stuff! It feels so fresh and so clean, clean!
You are Amazing Vanilla Bean body lotion *CF - This is a brand new to my local Target's and one with a pretty decent range of scents. The company is paraben and pthalate free and made in the USA. According to their packaging, and information available on Target.com, with each purchase you are providing leadership development skills to empower woman all over the world. That sounds super cool, but I have no idea what it means.
Would I buy it again? Yes. I really enjoyed the smell. I have recently picked up the body spray in the same scent. $3.99 available at Target.
Neutrogena Body Clear Body Wash - Back in my tweeny bopper days I had bad body acne. I notice it coming back so I thought I'd pick this stuff up again in attempts to help it out.
Would I buy it again? No. Adult Acne is far different from preteen acne and this did zilch. $9- $10
Hask Hair Rescue Leave in Spray *CF- Can we talk about smells for a sec? YAS. I could sniff this stuff all day long.
Would I buy it again? I actually picked up a different leave in spray this time around, but I totally like the Hask stuff more! $6
Nicole by OPI dry drops - If you paint your nails a lot and don't really have a ton of time to do it, these are a must! Will forever buy these! ~$7- $8
Sensodyne Toothpaste - Joshua and I have been hit by adult teeth problems lately and needed something geared more toward our oral helath than just the whitening effect that Colgate Optic 3D was giving us.
Would I buy it again? Yes. Maybe if a different formula. Joshua and I both noticed less swelling of the gums and an overall cleaner feel with this stuff. ~$5- $6
Honest Company Face and Body Lotion *CF- I really like this stuff. It's ethical, smells amazing and very gentle!
Would I buy it again? This is a wonderful product and if you have a little one, I suggest it. However, we wanted a body lotion all three of us could use. One big bottle to sit in the bathroom, with a pump and we could all benefit from it. I do think we've found the perfect one, and I'm sure you'll see it in an empties post eventually. $9.99
Hask Argan Oil Repairing Hair Mask - This is my first hair mask I've tried from Hask and I really enjoyed how soft it made my hair.
Would I buy it again? Yes, and I have. Super affordable and does what it says. ~ $3
