THE MAKEUP MIX UP: GAME DAY GLAM

November 19, 2015

Hello. This is Kiki reporting to you from the heart of it all, home to the country's worst professional football team. Ok maybe not worst. Honestly, I couldn't tell you. I probably couldn't even name a current Cleveland Brown's football player. Manzel? Am I a winner? Did I even spell that right?

If you have no football backbone such as myself, let me sum up all Ohio professional sports outlets in one word, disappointing. More specifically Cleveland. Pretty sure Columbus and Cincinnati are in their own little world of sports achievements that I know nothing about. Some call it the Cleveland curse, basically because they almost win, but never win. This is a year after year happening. Alas, the fans remain loyal. No matter how let down Cleveland sports fans get, they are always hopeful that at the start of every season, "this is their year." It's pathetically beautiful, if one can feel those two emotions simultaneously.

I've never been a sports person. I was a picked last in gym class, couldn't throw a football to save her life, kind of girl. I've never been to a professional football game which may come as a surprise since the Pro Football Hall of Fame is minutes from where I live and the fact that American football all began in little old Canton, Ohio. With such little sports knowledge, I figured what the heck, just wing it.

Today's FOTD: Game Day Glam

Eyes: Fergie Take on the Day Eye primer , First two shades on the left side of the Wet n' Wild Comfort Zone palette , Wet n' Wild Mega Liner in Dark Brown , Maybelline Lash Sensational in Blackest Black , NYX Automatic Eyebrow pencil in Taupe

Face: L'Oreal True Match Lumi W1-2 foundation , L'Oreal Visible Lift Blur Concealer in Fair , Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder

Lips: LypSyl Lip Balm

The Wet n' Wild Comfort Zone palette has easily become one of my most loved in my collection. It's pigmented, easy to use, and hello, less than $5?! For this simple look, I chose the two neutral shades on the left side of the palette, followed up with a simple brown liner and a few coats of black mascara. After experiencing a case of dry skin this week, I opted for one of my favorite foundations. Ideal for dry, and in my case, oily skin types. With such a natural skin like finish and subtle inner glow it was the perfect choice to create a subtle every day look. To wrap things up accordingly, I skipped the contour and threw on my favorite lip balm.

Ok, ok.... so this isn't exactly glam. I more or less took the prompt and turned into a if I ever went to a football game, what would I wear type look. I was super inspired last week by Stephanie's all natural look she had going on. It was time I tone it down a bit, not to mention I've been utterly abusing those false lashes for weeks.
