Domains & Birthdays

April 10, 2015

Some of you may notice something a bit different today. I can't tell you what a relief it was to wave buh-bye to that pesky 1-2-3 after my blog name. Like what is this Myspace?

This was something I've wanted to do ages ago. When I first started blogging this name just stuck. It was simple, memorable, and summed up what my blog would eventually become. But of course, someone else across the country had the same blog name. And wouldn't you know she abandoned it way back in 2010.

Try as I may I couldn't get a hold of her. I wanted the .com so bad, but it was either accept something else or change my name all together. Joshua and I talked about it. We threw a few names around and nothing felt right. This blog has always been life through my eyes and According to Kiki just fits.

I held my breath and purchased the next best thing. No one tells you all your comments disappear and suddenly, to new readers, it looks like your blog has never been visited by ANYONE. Just a little heads up if you're thinking about purchasing a domain. None the less, I feel like I made a great decision for the direction of my blog.

In other news...

Easter 2015

This hunk of burning love turns 24 tomorrow. To celebrate we are heading to a local spot to enjoy an Ohio based dueling piano act. It's something I've heard rave reviews about and can't wait to experience. Oh, and I'm dying to share what I got him for his birthday! But since he's a reader, that will be Monday's post. The fact that I've been able to keep it a secret these past two months is some sort of miracle.

One more for the road. Our first photo we ever took together. But uh, can we talk about that hair Kik... Don't judge us, we were a hot mess and not even officially together in this photo. Though we did manage to wear quite the matching ensemble of v-neck tees that night. Insert crying/ laughing emoji here.

Thank you for all the kind words and support that have been deleted post domain purchase. ),:
They really made my day and the fact they are gone kinda kills.
Never the less, I am thankful for each and every one of you that takes time to drop by and read.

Have a safe and fabulous weekend all!
