Thrifty Thursday: DIY Coffee & Tea BarJanuary 15, 2015
After seeing coffee bars flood my Pinterest feed, I decided to create one that fit my particular needs. As an avid coffee and tea drinker, I knew the space had to be cute and functional. This space is still very much a work in progress, but for now, I'm loving having everything I need at my fingertips.
I love Keurig; I just drink way too much coffee for one to be practical. Instead I love this Mr. Coffee programmable 12 cup coffee pot. Just set a time to brew and when you wake up you'll have a fresh, hot pot of coffee. Another feature I'm in love with, is that it beeps when it's finished brewing.
I keep my coffee in this large glass jar, which I believe is from Walmart? It's so old I really have no idea. Need ideas for that empty tin or plastic coffee can?
Dont throw out that old coffee container! Up-Cycle it!
My favorite Candle up-cycle ideas!
My mug tree is my pride and joy. I sort of have a thing for mugs. I'm drawn to super cute, unique styles. Joshua purchased this for me two Christmas' ago from World Market. It's actually a drying rack, but he knew a standard holds 4-6 mugs tree wasn't my cup of tea. Pun intended.
Mugs are from: Target, World Market, Amazon, and our travels.
So that's what I have at the moment. The Family sign was a gift, and the flowers and vase are from a long-ago thrift. They've actually been making their way all over the apartment, but I think they've finally found their permanent home. I'm so interested to know if anyone else has a coffee or tea bar set up. What are your essentials? What makes a good coffee/ tea bar functional for you?
