Mommy Monday: Weekend Rewind
December 15, 2014
If you follow me on Intagram, you saw me post this photo on Friday. There is nothing more precious in this world than a baby who gives kisses. Joshua had to work that night so Penelope and I did what we do best, cuddles and Christmas movies.
I literally pull the camera out and she smiles. She's getting so smart.
...............
(Nana, Grandpa, Joshua, Penelope, and I)
Yep, another Santa day. Joshua's step-mom is a school teacher and took us as her "guests" for a Breakfast with Santa event. There was a breakfast buffet, coloring and dancing for the kiddos, and of course Santa himself made an appearance. Penny did so well this time!
Each kid received a big stuffed animal from Santa! Penelope (aka Nana) chose the big snow man!
...............
Yesterday Joshua and I had a little time to ourselves. My mom and sister offered to baby sit and we went to see the Christmas Carol. I hadn't seen the production since I was in middle school, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It was an excellent show full of talented performers. We really need to go to more often.
We were only gone maybe four hours, but I missed her more than ever. No matter how much people constantly nag us about "needing our time as a couple" both of us agree that our favorite times are those spent with the three of us.
The remainder of our night was spent watching Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch stole Christmas. (Yes the Jim Carrey one) and playing with toys.
What did you do this weekend?
Are you ready for the holidays?
Have you ever seen the Christmas Carol production?
What's your favorite Christmas story/ movie?

Thank you so much Borka! You are a doll. (:
DeleteSounds like a great weekend! I love when people do a weekend-recap kind of post, and I think once Blogmas is done I may start up one of my own. It's a nice way to keep track of your week and memories without having to religiously post every day! I have not seen A Christmas Carol live performance, but a local theater is really popular for doing so. I want to start saying "yes" to more things, and this is one of them!!
ReplyDeleteMuch Love,

It's such a great show, plus you support the local arts. Which is extremely important to both of us. Can't wait to see your recap posts. (:

wow she didn't cry on Santa !!!! she's precious..especially that first photo :)
ReplyDeleteThis is attempt number 2 with Santa. The first time the little girl before her cried, so she cried. Yet before both Santa visits we did the Grinch and she was fine. Who knows whats going on in her head. (;

Thanks fantastic Daisy! So happy to hear you get to spend time with family for the holidays. I think it's an unwritten rule somewhere that holidays must drain every once of energy you have. (;
