Mommy Monday: The Baby Tree & Ten Month UpdateDecember 22, 2014
Well what an excellent start to my week. I was informed by a reader that almost all of my photos had suspiciously disappeared. I'm not sure if Google is at fault, or perhaps I've been hacked? All I know is I was super annoyed I had to re-upload a ton of photos this morning. Has this ever happened to anyone? Any advice?
I apologize for the mini rant. This blog is very important to me. I'd hate for something to happen to it.
Today we've managed to reach the twenty-second of the month. Like every month before it this past year, I have dreaded this very day. Well, I guess dreaded is a harsh word. Obviously it marks as a happy day, but also symbolizes the fact that time is indeed out of my hands.
Sorry about the screen shot. This was snapped from a video of her riding Dumbo at Babies R' Us on Saturday.
If you haven't the slightest idea what I'm talking about, Penelope turns 10 months old today. Just like last month I cant believe I have a baby that much closer to a year old. She's adventurous, brave, and a fast learner. I cant stress how much a baby changes monthly, even daily. It's fascinating to me.
Her monthly accomplishments include:
Mastering walking- Yes she walked at 9 months old, but she was very clumsy, always falling, and couldn't turn. She didn't quite have her sea legs. Now she can turn, carry things, etc. She almost never crawls.
First pair of shoes- Obviously she'd had shoes before. Boots, ballet flats, etc. These are her first pair of walking shoes. You know, those chunky soled Spice Girl look a -like shoes that walking babies sport? Well, she rocks them. They were $15 at Pay Less.
Six teeth- Those two initial bottom ones were almost instantly joined by four top teeth. Though I am extremely happy we've managed to surpass the fever portion of teething, I'll be happy when she stops trying to eat her crib.
Penny has been busy getting ready for Christmas. She has been so excited ever since her daddy bought her a white tree with pink and purple decorations. It serves as a night light in her room, turning her white walls pink as she sleeps.
Candy cane ornament from Walmart.
Of course a bow to finish it off.
Just a bit more wrapping tonight and we are all set for Christmas! I haven't been this excited since I was little and the only thing on my list was a Furby! I just cant wait to watch her tear into that paper and be totally uncaring at what's inside.
Have a Happy Monday all!
Are you ready for the holidays?
Do any last minute shopping this weekend?
Have you ever had a tree of your own in your room?
