Mommy Monday: Surviving Santa
November 24, 2014On Saturday we went to see Santa Clause. This was an event held in the community's Garden Center and was 100% free for kids. With the holidays coming up, that's totally helpful for mom and dad. Not only were there a ton of cute little tots running around, there we beautiful home made Christmas decorations covering every inch of the venue.
Including this little tree topper which I see being a D.I.Y. project in my future. Pin. Pin. Pin.
Some pretty fake holly berries.
I realize every kid goes through a phase where they are terrified of people in costume. It's a right of passage to have a photo of your child screaming, trying to get away from Santa, the Easter bunny, etc. But do you guys remember this? I mean of course she'd be ok with the Grinch and not Santa Clause. Because that totally makes sense right? There were a few phases to our Santa encounter I'm sure you all will find incredibly amusing.
Phase 1: The first encounter.
Phase 2: The squirm
Phase 3: I hate Santa!
Ok, so it didn't quite go as planned. I blame the little girl who screamed before us. I really think that had something to do with it. Monkey see, monkey do right?
Here's a little sneak peak of Penelope's Christmas Eve dress (a little blurry). It's an Amy Coe (Babies R Us) in size 12 M. Though it's a tiny bit big on her now, it should fit perfectly come the holidays.
My loves. (:
Does anyone have any funny Santa encounter stories?
Have you started decorating for Christmas yet?
