Mommy Monday: Weekend in Photos

August 25, 2014

Well, P started driving last week.

This photo technically isn't from our weekend, but it was too adorable not to share with my readers. Last week Penny's Mamaw (Joshua's mother) took this photo and I just thought it was adorable. She's getting so strong. She pulls herself up on me when I'm playing on the floor with her. Maybe we will skip crawling and go straight to walking?

On to our weekend.....
What was expected to be rainy and miserable turned out to be sunny and wonderful! On Friday after work, I met Joshua, Penny, and two of our friends for dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants. If you're ever in Canton, Ohio (though you should never chose to visit this place) you have to visit Harmon's Irish Pub. We hadn't been there since I was pregnant and the food was even better than I remembered.

The Tim burger.

Saturday we walked around our local mall and did a bit of shopping. We bought two new candles from Bath and Body works. Banana Nutmeg Bread Pudding and my fall favorite, Leaves! They both smell amazing!

For lunch we tried a new sandwich shop called Pot Belly Sandwich Shop. It was actually very good, and I guess it's a chain with many locations across the states.

I had the chicken salad sandwich with hot peppers. It was delicious and very flavorful. I'd defiantly recommend this place if you need a small lunch.

Joshua and I both ordered a coffee shake as well. I love how they put little cookies on the straw!

Sunday's are the best with an amazing home cooked, fresh meal at Joshua's dad and stepmoms. They seriously spoil us! This weekend it was grilled chicken, cauliflower alfredo sauce and noodles, grilled zucchini, summer squash, brussel sprouts, and a side salad. Most of the produce comes straight out of his stepmom's garden.

Then it was off to see my brother's baseball game.
Her tank top onesie is by Carter's as well as her big floppy sun hat. Her bow is Oshkosh.

After the game, we went out for ice cream with my brother and parents at another local hot spot called Milk and Honey. I really try and make an effort to eat at local spots before hitting up the chain restaurants. I know that's sometimes easier said than done, because truthfully I love me some Carabba's and Bone Fish. But experiencing local foods keeps a sense of hometown pride and helps out local businesses.

I hope everyone had a fun and safe weekend!

Have a happy Monday!
